PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a battery monitoring device for detecting the voltage of each of series-connected unit batteries in a battery pack to monitor the states of the unit batteries while suppressing increase of the cost and the circuit scale.SOLUTION: A battery monitoring device comprises a battery pack 11 including plural battery modules which are connected to one another in series through conductive members, each battery module being configured by two or more series-connected unit batteries, plural voltage detection ICs 12 that enable detection of the voltage of a circuit element in each circuit section based on the potential difference between end points of plural series-connected circuit sections and detect the voltages of two or more series-connected unit batteries, and a monitoring unit 22 for monitoring the state of each unit battery. At least one voltage detection IC detects at least one of both unit batteries adjacent to any conduction member, and detects the voltage of the conduction member adjacent to both the unit batteries. The monitoring unit monitors the state based on the voltages of the plural unit batteries detected by the plural voltage detection ICs and the voltage of the conduction member detected by at least one voltage detection IC.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
