PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an encoding method capable of generating a coding sequence by encoding a coding sequence based on a predetermined parity check matrix.SOLUTION: A predetermined parity check matrix is a first parity check matrix corresponding to an LDPC (Low-Density Parity-Check) convolutional code which uses plural parity check polynomials; or a second parity check matrix which is generated by performing a row substitution and/or a string replacement on the first parity check matrix.
