PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a machine tool having an observation window control device that automatically judges whether or nor there is the need of blocking an observation window with a blocking plate and is capable of controlling opening/closing of the blocking plate.SOLUTION: A first electromagnetic valve 7 and a second electromagnetic valve 8 having received the command to open/close a blocking plate 5 from a control device 1 supply an air cylinder 6 with compressed air supplied from an air source 10 to operate a block 4 in a monoaxial direction. Since the blocking plate 5 is mounted in the block 4, the blocking plate 5 makes the same operation when the block 4 operates. That is, the operating/closing operations of the blocking plate 5 enable a processed region to be switched between a visible state and an invisible state from an observation window 3 mounted in the splash guard 2 (or opening/closing door) of a machine tool.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
