PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide evaluation methods of test substances, the method being able to evaluate TRPA1 activating effect of test substances with high sensitivity.SOLUTION: The invention provides evaluation methods of test substances, the methods evaluating TRPA1 activating effect of the test substances, wherein a test substance, a TRPA1 expression cell, and a hypotonic solution with an osmotic pressure lower than the osmotic pressure of a TRPA1 expression cell intracellular fluid are contacted, a physiological event caused by the hypotonic solution through TRPA1 is measured, and TRPA1 activating effect of the test substance is evaluated based on the physiological event.SELECTED DRAWING: None |
