PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique capable of obtaining correct information regarding an initial arrival position of radiation even when energy is detected at a plurality of positions approximately at the same time by multiple detection and accident coincident detection or the like due to Compton scattering inside the detector.SOLUTION: A radiation detection method is a method for detecting the arrival position and the energy of a radiation 301 subjected to Compton scattering by a radiation detector 102. The radiation detection method detects a scattering point at which a recoil electron 304 is generated by the Compton scattering, a recoil direction of the recoil electron, and an energy of the recoil electron by electron detection means 203.
