PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical element equipped with a light-shielding film having high solvent resistance and capable of exerting excellent properties in environmental stability.SOLUTION: An optical element includes a base material and a light-shielding film on part of the base material. The light-shielding film includes a resin and a coloring agent. The resin is a cured product of an epoxy resin containing a monocyclic unsubstituted aryl group, a polycyclic unsubstituted aryl group, a monocyclic substituted aryl group or a polycyclic substituted aryl group.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
