METHOD FOR SEPARATING DOCKING STATION FROM MOBILE COMPUTER

PURPOSE: A method for separating a docking station from a mobile computer is provided to isolate a docking station from a mobile computer although a user operates an isolation lever on condition that the user does not press an isolation button. CONSTITUTION: It is sensed whether an isolation button mounted in a docking station is pressed or not(S110). If the isolation button mounted is not pressed, it is sensed whether an isolation lever mounted in the docking station is operated or not(S120). If the isolation lever is operated, an alarm message for notifying a performance of an abnormal isolation operation by operating the isolation lever is outputted to a user by operating the current isolation lever(S130). An SMI(System Management Interface) signal is generated and transmitted to an IDE(integrated device electronics) controller mounted in a mobile computer(S140). Application programs related to IDE devices mounted in the docking station are terminated(S150). A power source being supplied to IDE ports of the docking station is cut-off(S160).
