PURPOSE: An armrest for a vehicle seat is provided to control an angle and upward/downward rotation of the armrest without operating a knob, thereby removing the knob and a rod and accordingly mounting sites thereof. CONSTITUTION: An armrest for vehicle seat includes an arc-shaped guide sector(380) disposed in parallel to a gear(330) fixed to a gear shaft(334) and incorporating an armrest frame(320) and rotatably mounted on the gear shaft, the guide sector being formed with a guide groove(382) by a predetermined length and an outer diameter larger than a diameter of the gear, and a guide pin(336) vertically protruded from a surface of the gear and penetrating the guide groove, the guide pin being guided along the guide groove when the guide sector rotates for stopping the rotation of the guide sector at both ends in the guide groove.
