PURPOSE: An automobile roll center measuring method is provided to easily analyze roll characteristics of automobile, while contributing to a safety design for automobile. CONSTITUTION: An automobile roll center method comprises a first step of loading an automobile to an SPMD(Suspension Parameter Measuring Device) serving as a hydraulic pressure testing apparatus for measuring characteristics of suspension, by applying a force to the automobile wheel; a second step of setting the air pressure of tire to a prescribed pressure level and loading condition; a third step of locking the steering wheel and brake, and moving, upward and downward, the tire patch serving as a ground contact surface of tire and load cell; and a fourth step of measuring roll center of automobile by using the amount of horizontal change of ground contact surface of tire with respect to the force acting in upward and downward directions.
