PURPOSE:To obtain a photoreceiving member which prevents the generation of an interference fringe and has photosensitivity to light by incorporating at least one kind selected from oxygen atoms, carbon atoms and nitrogen atoms in the distribution state ununiform in the layer thickness direction into a layer of which at least part of the layer region has photosensitivity. CONSTITUTION:The atoms (OCN) to be incorporated into the layer of which at least part of the layer region has the photosensitivity may be incorporated into the entire layer region of the layer of which at least part of the layer region has the photosensitivity or may be unevenly incorporated by incorporating the same into only part of the layer region of the photosensitive layer. The quantity of the atoms (OCN) to be incorporated into the layer region (OCN) is adequately determined as desired according to the characteristic required for the photoconductive member to be formed and is preferably 0.001-50atomic%. The thickness (d) of the surface layer 1005 having an antireflecting function is preferably d=(lambda/4n).m (m is odd number when the refractive index of the material for the surface layer is designated as (n) and the wavelength of the irradiated light as lambda. The material having the refractive index n=(na)<1/2> is most adequate if the refractive index of the photosensitive layer to be deposited thereon with the surface layer is designated as na. |
