PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive body having sensitivity with electrostatic charge of both positive and negative polarities by consisting said body of the constitution in which the 1st electric charge generating layer, charge transfer layer and 2nd charge generating layer are provided on a substrate and using a phthalocyanine pigment in at least one charge generating layer thereof. CONSTITUTION:The positive carrier from the charge generating layer 2 constituted on the substrate 1 passes through the charge transfer layer 3 and erases the negative electrostatic charge on the surface of the photosensitive body when, for example, the layer 3 transfers only the positive carrier. The negative carrier generated simultaneously with the positive carrier is implanted into the conductive substrate 1 and the carrier formed in the charge generating layer 4 on the surface of the photosensitive body does not contribute to the sensitivity as the negative carrier does not pass through the layer 3. The effect reverse therefrom arises when the negative electrostatic charge is executed. The phthalocyanine pigment such as copper phthalocyanine is used as the charge generating materials for the layers 2 and 4. |
