ROTARY OSCILLATION DRIVING DEVICE

PURPOSE:To reduce the size and to improve the reliability by providing a rotary oscillation member which has plural supporting parts radially, and providing the plural supporting parts with bases and bodies as objects of rotary oscillation at specific intervals. CONSTITUTION:A ring laser gyro 10 has its center part supported on a base 12 through a nearly circular rotary oscillation member 11 and is arranged so as to initiate specific rotary oscillation around its input shaft. This member 11 is provided with the 1st and the 2nd supporting parts 13 and 14 radially by turns and an expansion/contraction element (piezoelectric element) 15 for rotary oscillation which is polarized in a specific direction is stuck on respective intermediate parts between those supporting parts 13 and 14. The member 11 has a base fitting part 17 formed atop of the supporting part 14 and a fitting part 17 for an object body of rotary oscillation is formed at the tip part of the supporting part 14. The fitting part 16 is fitted to the base 12 by using a fitting member 18 and the fitting member 17 is fitted to the ring laser gyro 10 by using the member 18. Thus, a desired natural oscillation frequency is obtained even when the supporting parts 13 and 14 are made thick.
