PURPOSE: A check deposit and withdrawal device of an automatic teller machine and a service method thereof are provided to enable the check as marketable securities to be circulated like cash at real time. CONSTITUTION: The check deposit and withdrawal device of an automatic teller machine is comprised of a door part(100) through which a first check to be deposited is input or a second check to be withdrawn is output; an image recognizing part(200) having a first and a second image recognizers scanning the top and bottom surfaces of the first check input through the door part; a magnetic ink character recognizing part(500) for determining the truth of the first check; a temporary check storage part(300) for temporarily storing checks when the deposit of the first check or the withdrawal of the second check is cancelled; a deposited check loading part(900); and a withdrawal check loading part(800). |
