PURPOSE:To leave the quantity of misregistration within an allowable value and to obtain a favorable image by providing plural rollers which make a moving means run by rolling, and making the width of at least one of rollers narrower than that of the moving means. CONSTITUTION:The moving means for carrying transfer substances 6a and 6b is arranged in order to abut on the outer circumferential surfaces of the sensitive body drums 3C, 3M and 3Y of respective image forming means I-III. The moving means has a carrier belt 5 rolled by the roller 7 and 8 to be driven in the direction of an arrow 9 and it supports the transfer substances to carry them to the image forming means. And the width 13 of the rollers 7 is made narrower than the width 14 obtained in a direction perpendicular to the running direction of the carrier belt 5. Then, the meandering of the carrier belt can be prevented and the misregistration in the horizontal direction of a color image can be prevented, and also the misregistration in a carrying direction can be prevented in a simple method. Thus, the misregistration can be suppressed within the allowable value and the favorable image can be obtained.
