PURPOSE:To insulate the circuit of a limit switch, etc., and the circuit of the control device main body of a numerical controller, etc., and to reduce power consumption by providing a transformer in which one coil is connected through a direct current power source to a signal input contact. CONSTITUTION:To one coil 61 of a transformer 6, through a direct current power source 4, a signal input contact 1 is connected and to the other coil 62, a pulse generating means 7 and a current detecting circuit 8 are connected. In response to an input signal reading command A, the pulse generating means 7 is operated, a pulse current is flown to the other coil 62 and this pulse current is read and stored by a storing means 9 to respond to the reading command A. Thus, by the transformer 6, the input signal contact 1 and the storing means 9 are insulated, moreover, the input signal contact 1 is closed, the direct current to flow to the other coil 61 is specified only by the resistance of the coil 61 and by increasing a coiling number, since the resistance is made large, power consumption can be reduced.
