<p>PURPOSE:To also effectively remove the soot on one side of an insulator only by arranging a nozzle on the other side of the insulator by spraying pressurized water to the insulator supporting a high voltage part and subsequently spraying water thereto by compressed air. CONSTITUTION:A solenoid valve V2 is opened in succession to the washing of both of a dust collection passage 17 and a charging part 14 with water to wash a support insulator 20 and current supply insulators 22, 27 with water. The soot on the surface of each insulator on the side of a nozzle is removed by the direct action of jet water while the soot on the opposite surface thereof is wetted with the water flowing along the surface of each insulator to become easy to release. When a solenoid valve V4 is opened in such a state that water is present in insulator washing piping 36 to guide compressed air to the piping 36, water is sprayed from insulator washing nozzles 32-35 and runs to the opposite surfaces of the insulators 20, 22, 27 to release soot. By repeating this operation, the insulators are perfectly washed and water droplets are blown off by spray air. Thereafter, a dust collecting unit 2 is dried by a blower.</p> |
