PURPOSE:To ensure safety when a motor runs out of control, by incorporating such a construction that a cam follower is interposed between a hexagonal cam part arranged at the foremost of a steering shaft and a link gear situated at the periphery of said hexagonal cam and rotated by a motor, and therein improving the structure of the cam follower and its surrounding. CONSTITUTION:A steering wheel 2 is mounted on a steering shaft 3 with possibility of relative rotation, and a driving farce relay member 4 is provided in the neighborhood of the foremost of the steering shaft 3. A hexagonal cam 5 is formed at the front of this relay member 4, and at its periphery a link gear 6 is arranged which is rotated by a motor 19. Two cam followers 7 each are interposed between the cam part 5 and gear 6, and a coil spring 8 is fitted between the cam followers in pair. Therein the angle alpha formed by the tangential at the contacting point of cam follower 7 with a circumferential inside surface 6a with respect to a straight line level to the cam surface 5a is set to such an angle that the cam follower 7 will slip off from the space between the cam surface 5a and the inside surface 6a unless a force is applied to the cam follower 7. |
