PURPOSE:To eliminate the complicated and difficult control of lubricating oil and to simplify the operation control of a kneader by fabricating the press seal ring of the shaft seal device of the rotor shaft of the kneader made of synthetic resin, rubber, etc., with a material having a self-lubricating property. CONSTITUTION:The special material having a self-lubricating property is used for the seal ring 5, and the material for an end plate 2 to be pressed on the seal ring 6 can be changed. Ceramics, carbon, etc., are exemplified as the self- lubricating material not impregnated with oil, gunmetal, cast iron, sintered metal, etc., can be used as the metal impregnated with oil, and synthetic resin such as phenolic resin can also be exemplified. Concretely, the seal ring 5 is made of phenolic resin, etc. when rubber, etc., are kneaded by the kneader, the end plate 2 made of common steel is used hence the kneader can be smoothly and continuously operated with the oilless shaft seal device. |
