PURPOSE:To improve the picture quality of reproduction High Vision signal by sending moving picture high frequency information through an additional channel of the High Vision transmission system compatible with the existing system. CONSTITUTION:A High Vision luminance Y signal inputted at a sender side encoder is separated into 3 frequency components, 0-4MHz band, 4-6MHz band and 6-8MHz band via two LPFs(low pass filters) 1, 3 and two subtractors 2, 4. Then the 4-6 MHz components and 6-8MHz components of the Y signal are modulated by multipliers 5, 6 in the main channel and the output of the multiplier 9 in response to the level of the moving signal is added to the Y low frequency components 0-4MHz by an adder 10. Moreover, only the Y signal 4-6MHz components are extracted through the additional channel of 3MHz band and modulated by a carrier 3MHz and the result is outputted. Thus, the moving information high frequency component of the High Vision luminance signal is simultaneously sent and reproduced to reproduce high definition High Vision video image. |
