Cassette (16) for reception and fine adjustment of an indexable insert (18). The cassette (16) is wedged in the basic body (10) of a plane inserted tooth milling head. The cassette (16) has a flat recess (102) for the indexable insert (18) in the vicinity of its effective corner. On or near the edges of the cassette (16), the recess (102) has projecting abutments (108, 109) for the ineffective cutting edges of the indexable insert (18). In the region of the inner corner of the recess (102), the cassette is traversed by a borehole (112) in which a rotary body (114) is lodged. The angular position of the rotary body (114) with respect to the cassette (16) can be adjusted. An eccentric pin (116) of the rotary body penetrates the recess (102) and serves as a third abutment for the indexable insert. The angular position of the indexable insert (18) with respect to the cassette (16) in the plane inserted tooth milling head can be finely adjusted by adjusting the angular position of the rotary body (114) and hence the position of its pin (116). To this end, adjusting screws (128) penetrate parallel to each other into the basic body (10) of the cassette and can be positioned against a wall in the recess of the rotary body.
