The machine for forming large paper bags comprising a rectangular box shaped folding jig (I), which is rotated onto a flat paper sheet (F) which isprepositioned under it. The first folds are formed by a pair of plates (4) rotated to position shown by levered jacks, one side being longer than the other. Right-angled former (5a) is then advanced by a jack to fold over short side, then a similar former folds the long side completing join along pre-glued edge. Open end is cut, glued and folded similarly to form bottom of bag. |
