PURPOSE:To eliminate a restriction on the design of a body and ensure less manufacture cost by providing an auxiliary lighting bulb emitting light through the aforesaid projection lens for illumination outside, within a case in such a way as to be positioned at an area excluding the passage of light emitted from a main illumination bulb. CONSTITUTION:Light M emitted from a headlamp bulb 16 is reflected at a reflector 15 and converges at a focal point F2. Thereafter, the light M diverges and enters a convex lens 14, thereby illuminating forward in a pattern of downward light distribution. Also, light S emitted from a position lamp bulb 17 enters directly the convex lens 14 and furthermore a part thereof enters the lens 14 after reflection at the reflector 15, thereby illuminating forward in a pattern of forward light distribution from the lens 14. Consequently, the headlamp device in the title can perform not only as a headlamp, but also as a position lamp, and it is unnecessary to provide an independent position lamp, thereby ensuring a high degree of freedom in the design of a body. Also, the position lamp can be constituted without any use of a separate convex lens or the like, and the quantity of parts can be lessened, thereby reducing manufacture cost. |
