IMAGE CORRECTION SYSTEM FOR A CAMCORDER

An apparatus for correcting an image signal at a camcoder is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a filter(1) for removing a noise of an inputted digital image signal; a mask processor(5) for masking the inputted digital image signal so as to select a characteristic point in the noise removed image; a representing point determiner(6) for receiving the masked image data, for selecting the maximum value at each motion vector detection region for every field and for determining the position of the maximum value as the representing value; and a correlation calculator(7) for receiving the representing point to calculate the correlation in a searching region.
