PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cosmetic container allowing a lid body to be smoothly opened/ closed by making a pawl piece disengaged normally even if any section of a push piece is pushed in. SOLUTION: In this cosmetic container, a container body 10 and the lid body 20 are coupled together in such a manner as to be freely opened/closed in the respective rear parts of the container body 10 and the lid body 20, and a recess 12 is formed at the front edge of the container body 10. Additionally, the push piece 30 urged forward by an elastic member is disposed within the recess 12 so as to be movable back and forth, the pawl piece 23 is suspended for formation at the front edge of the lid body 20 and engaged with the push piece 30 so as to occupy a closing position when the lid body 30 is closed, and the push piece 30 is disengaged from the pawl piece 23 when the push piece 30 is pressed to rearward of inside in the closing position. The elastic member is composed of paired tube-shaped right and left pieces 37 of rubber, both the front and rear ends of which abut on the inner surface of the push piece 30 and the back of the recess 12. The elastic member is fitted into and held by paired guide shafts 36 whose respective centers are installed protrusively in the inner surface of the push piece 30 or the back of the recess 12 of the container body 10. |
