<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent vibration or noises generated by the wave motion of engine intake manifold negative pressure in the flow control valve of a fuel evaporative gas emission system. SOLUTION: An electrically controlled flow control valve assembly 10 is provided with a diaphragm 64 operated by a pressure control valve 36, and the pressure control valve 36 is provided with a solenoid control valve 48 for controlling a flow to an outlet pressure chamber 46 bypassing the diaphragm 64. In accordance with an embodiment, the outlet pressure chamber 46 is communicated through a flow limit small orifice 80 with a closed damping chamber 84. If vibration is generated in the diaphragm 64, a pressure wave thereof is damped by a limited flow through the small orifice 80 and the damping chamber 84 serving as a damping element, and thus vibration or noises generated by system resonance are prevented.</p> |
