<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost of equipment by simplifying its structure, insofar as possible. SOLUTION: This turning device is equipped with a plurality of retracting rollers 3a to 3e retracting a billet 2 successively fed from conveyor lines A to D into the downstream after receiving it one after another, and it is also equipped with a plurality of delivery rollers 4a to 4f whose axial directions turned to the direction orthogonal with the conveying direction after being turned, at the further downstream part of the retracting roller 3e arranged at the most downstream part. There delivery rollers 4a to 4f are in close vicinity to the roller 3e at the most downstream part, and a side guide 7 consisting of a thin platelike member extending along a conveyor line E is installed in the upper part of an end on the reverse side to the retracting roller 3e in making the cross direction turn to the vertical direction at a specified interval from the retracting roller 3e. Then, four rollers 8a to 8d capable of reciprocating along the retracting rollers 3a and 3b are installed in an interval between the retracting rollers 3a and 3b, and a tail end of the billet 2 before reaching the side guide 7 is shiftable in the lateral direction.</p> |
