PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter suitable for supplying a power converter at a low manufacturing cost within a short time limit of delivery over a wide range of demanded capacity. SOLUTION: The power converter comprises two basic capacity semiconductor stack vs unit (semiconductor unit) 6, a rectangular prism frame 5 having two sets of supports 53 and partitioners 55 for mounting the semiconductor unit 6, a wind tunnel 82, and one or a plurality of power conversion units 3 provided with two fan units 8 each comprising three fans 81. The semiconductor unit 6 comprises a plurality of IGBTs, a pair of rectangular prism air cooled cooling bodies, and a current balancer 61. The partitioner 55 introduces high temperature cooling gas 89 discharged from a lower semiconductor unit 6 to an exhaust passage 31 and introduces low temperature cooling gas 89 to an upper semiconductor unit 6 from the side fixed with the current balancer 61. |
