PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protecting bag for an automobile occupant head portion, capable of preventing the leakage of gas from a small chamber, and sufficiently absorbing impact added on an occupant head portion. SOLUTION: A vacant chamber in a bag 1 is composed of an introducing chamber 7 extending from the neighborhood of a front end of the bag 1 to the neighborhood of a rear end on the upper side of the bag 1 along the lower side of a duct portion 5, and a plurality of small chambers 11, 12, 13, 14 arranged in a line under the introducing chamber 7. The small chambers 12, 13 are shaped in spirals, and gas introducing ports thereof are faced to communicating ports 8, 9. The small chambers 11 to 14 have the length in the gas flowing direction longer than the width thereof. |
