PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ink jet image forming method, with which an ink jet recording image having no difference between the gloss of a non-printing part and the gloss of a printing part and having a uniform feeling and an excellent gloss is obtained. SOLUTION: In this ink jet image forming method, after a pigment ink is discharged and adhered in the fashion of an image by an ink jet system onto an ink jet recording medium having a pigment ink accepting layer including a thermoplastic resin fine particle on the outermost side of a support and a pigment ink solvent absorbing layer adjacent to the pigment ink accepting layer, heating and pressurizing are simultaneously applied with two rollers, the average surface roughness of the roller contacting with an image surface between which is 100 nm or less, at a simultaneous heating and pressurizing process. |
