PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information providing system which provides advertisement information together with easy-to-understand map information by using portable telephone, can update the information in real time, and also can invite a communication member without opening personal information to the public and enables a group communication at ease when friend information is provided. SOLUTION: The information providing system which provides the advertisement information through the Internet has an advertisement information retrieval part, an advertiser information file, an advertisement information file, and a map information file on a web server; and the advertisement information is retrieved through portable telephone to specify the advertisement provider, and the advertisement information and the location of the advertisement provider are displayed as a simplified map on the portable telephone. The simplified map information is map information including representative buildings as landmarks and roads. Further, this system is provided with an advertisement update part for rewriting the advertisement information through the portable telephone and a friend communication group information management part for exchanging friend information. |
