PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a local information distribution system that automatically distributes local information such as news information and advertisement information depending on the area of a specific range to mobile stations existing in the area. SOLUTION: The local information distribution system is provided with a mobile station 105, a host controller 108, and a server unit 110, and the host controller 108 has a means that informs the server unit 110 about wireless local information managed by a base station to which a mobile station 105 is connected every time the mobile station moves to a wireless area managed by a different base station. When the server unit 110 recognizes the areas where mobile stations exist, the server unit 110 retrieves whether or not a kind of local information registered by the user of the mobile station in advance is registered in a database of the server unit 110 with respect to the area where the mobile station exists and distributes the retrieved area information to each mobile station. |
