PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for immobilizing the contaminated soil without removing the contaminated underground soil and scooping the contaminated underground water up onto the earth so that pollution causing substances do not flow out of the contaminated underground soil to the surroundings in the stratum. SOLUTION: This method for immobilizing the contaminated soil is based on such a simultaneous porous grout method that plural holes are formed by digging the ground contaminated with pollution causing substances so that the holes surround the contaminated underground soil, a liquid solidifying material is injected into the holes at the same time, the injected solidifying material is solidified and a solidified zone is formed so that the pollution causing substances in the contaminated soil are prevented from eluting and causing new contamination. A mixed liquid whose gelation time is adjusted by varying the compounding ratio according to the water-permeable coefficient of the soil is used as the solidifying material.
