PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new transformer which does not hinder miniaturization of a mobile terminal unit and a contactless battery charger utilizing the new transformer. SOLUTION: The contactless battery charger using the PCB transformer 72 is constituted of a converter 100 which applies a normal power supply to the primary side 76 of the PCB transformer 72 by converting it to high frequency rectangular wave, and a battery charger which applies direct current to the charging circuit by converting an electromotive force induced at the coil of the secondary side 78 of the PCB transformer 72 by a magnetic field generated by square wave which is applied to the primary side 76 of the PCB transformer 72.
