PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage/transportation container for a flat membrane-like membrane tissue comprising a biological material, which can maintain the biological activity of the membrane tissue in a state holding its original shape without deteriorating its biological characteristics, can simply pack, store and transport the membrane tissue, and facilitates the treatments of the membrane tissue such as its ejection, and to provide a storage/transportation method using the storage/transportation container. SOLUTION: The storage/transportation container for the membrane tissue (12) comprises a liquid-permeable support (34) which can nip the flat membrane- like membrane tissue (12) comprising the biological material from both the lateral sides and hold the membrane tissue in a state keeping its original shape without deteriorating its biological characteristics, and an openable fluid-tight and/or gas-tight container body (26) which can receive at least one support (34) together with a prescribed storing/transporting liquid (14) and maintain the membrane tissue (12) held in the support (34) in a wet state with the storing/ transporting liquid (14).
