PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To lighten a rotor of a spinning reel while keeping strength. SOLUTION: This rotor 3 of the spinning reel is equipped with the main body 15 of the rotor, a bail arm 16 and a cover member 17. The main body of the rotor has a cylindrical part 20 freely rotatable to the main body of the reel and made of a synthetic resin and the first and the second rotor arms 21 and 22 comprising the first and the second connections extending from the position facing to the peripheral face of the rear end of the cylindrical part to the outward of the radial direction and the first and the second arms bending at the first and the second connections and each extending to the front while leaving a space with the cylindrical part. The bail arm is installed to the tip of the first and the second rotor arms so as to be freely swingable and installed for guiding a fishing line to a spool at the side of the first rotor arm. The cover member is arranged at least at the outside of the first rotor arm so as to form a space therein, made of a material having a higher strength than that of the main body of the rotor and installed for reinforcing the main body of the rotor.
