PURPOSE: A fragrant composition containing a flower extract of Syringa velutina Kom var. venosa(Nak.) T.Lee is provided to have good fragrance taste, antiseptic and sterilizing effects and to disinfect Legionella. CONSTITUTION: The fragrant composition comprises 2 to 5 wt.% of the flower extract of Syringa velutina Kom var. venosa(Nak.) T.Lee based on a total weight of the composition. The extract is obtained by adding a hexane to the flowers and depositing it for 20 to 30 min; drying the hexane solution, filtering and concentrating in vacuum to obtain a solid extract; adding alcohol to the solid extract and stirring; cooling; and vacuum filtering and vacuum concentrating.
