PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous driving device for upper and lower belts of a double belt machine of high reliability and to provide the double belt machine of high reliability, free from the generation of physical spots and deformed spots caused by the presence of a frictional member even when the processing is performed under the same condition for a long time. SOLUTION: The upper and lower metallic endless belts 101, 102 respectively hung on upper and lower pairs of driving drums and driven drums, transmit and drive drum shafts 109, 110 of upper and lower belt driving drums 103a, 103b through sprockets 111-114 by a single driving source 107. Here, the drum shaft 109, 110 of one of the vertically mounted belt driving drums 103a, 103b and the corresponding sprocket are connected through a frictional member 115. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
