PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operating method and device for an internal-combustion engine of a vehicle assisted by the internal-combustion engine and capable of making dynamic compensation of a load request of its steering device. SOLUTION: The operating method and device for the internal-combustion engine 1 of the vehicle is arranged so as to make assisted by the internal-combustion engine 1 and capable of making dynamic compensation of the load request of the steering device 5, in which a margin signal for adapting the output variable to be output by the internal-combustion engine 1 is formed as a function of the steering process.
