PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head cover gasket capable of exerting sealing performance preventing the lack of contact pressure owing to the presence of level difference without damaging the sealing performance, even when the level difference occurs at a sealing surface with the head cover owing to an attaching error or the like in a block member as an assembly of a plurality of members, when the head cover is tightened to secure to the upper side of the block member attaching a chain cover covering a timing chain to a cylinder block of an engine and a cylinder head attached to the upper end side via a head cover gasket. SOLUTION: The problem is solved with the head cover gasket provided with a protrusion in the compression side surface opposite to the lower side at least between an upper side of the cylinder head and an upper end of the chain cover.
