PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a voltage regulator for outputting a stable voltage, even in sharp fluctuations in supply voltage, in a voltage regulator with intermittent operation functions. SOLUTION: The voltage regulator is provided with a control means for an intermittent operation function, having a circuit configuration for stopping the intermittent operation function for continuous operation by detecting lowering of the supply voltage, when the voltage regulator is operated intermittently, thereby obtaining a stable output voltage.
