PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a loss prevention device allowing continuous use for many hours by reducing power consumption when used. SOLUTION: In this loss prevention device composed of a transmitter and a receiver to inform that the transmitter and the receiver are separated from each other by a predetermined interval or more, the transmitter has a transmitting means for transmitting a predetermined signal and a transmission control means for operating the transmitting means periodically to transmit a predetermined signal. The receiver has a receiving means for receiving a predetermined signal, an informing means for informing, and a reception control means for operating the receiving means intermittently in synchronization with a period when the transmitting means operates to receive the predetermined signal. The reception control means lets the informing means inform when the receiving means cannot receive the predetermined signal continuously for predetermined number of times.
