<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables players to have a strong desire during games for making an operation affecting the performances and to enjoy games for a longer period of time by making the performances so elaborated to sustain the interests in the games. <P>SOLUTION: The game machine is provided with a game board which has at least a part of a playing area composed of a transparent area, a display means which is disposed behind the transparent area and has a display area that enables the display of the performance images, a display control means which conducts a control to display the performance images in the display area, a touch panel which is disposed ahead of the game board and outputs a detection signal for indicating the contact position when the contact by the players is detected and a designation means for designating a part of the performance image shown in the display area based on the contact position indicated by the detection signal.
