PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polygon scanner motor capable of suppressing a jitter amount when an optical path length of a scanning optical device is shortened by reducing an eccentricity of a polygon mirror reflecting surface, and both achieving downsizing of the device and high image quality. SOLUTION: In the polygon scanner motor with the rotor part constituted by fixedly bonding a polygon mirror made of high-purity aluminum or an aluminum alloy beforehand to a rotary shaft made metal with a linear expansion coefficient approximate to that of the polygon mirror, the rotary shaft and the polygon mirror are subjected to the same surface treatment after mirror-processing the polygon mirror on the basis of the rotary shaft and thereby performing finish-processing so that the distance from the rotary shaft center to each mirror plane becomes equal.
