PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a charging device which makes a comprehensive determination by a simple algorithm and supplying a charging current through a simple construction. SOLUTION: The charging device includes: charging current generating means 2 that generates a charging current I1 supplied to a secondary battery 1; voltage detecting means 3 that detects a battery voltage VB; temperature detecting means 4 that detects a battery temperature TB; voltage change detecting means 5 that detects a voltage variationΔV; temperature change detecting means 6 that detects a temperature variationΔT; determination range setting means 7 that sets a determination voltage range for determining a state of full charge; determining means 8 that, when at least the battery voltage VB is within the determination voltage range, determines the state of charge of the secondary battery 1, based on the voltage variationΔV or the voltage variationΔV and the temperature variationΔT; and controlling means 9 that controls the supply of the charging current I1 based on the result of determination by the determining means 8.
