PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately reduce a rush current in the re-distribution of an electric charge generated in the initial stage of an operation start in a charge pump circuit. SOLUTION: In a period of an initial operation that is set in advance after the operation start, a switch S2 is kept in a non-conductive state, a resistor R1 is connected to the switch S2 in parallel therewith, and the operation of a first period and the operation of a second period are alternately repeated in this state. In the operation of the first period, a switch S1 and a second switch S4 are brought into conductive states, a switch S3 is simultaneously brought into a non-conductive state, and a capacitor C2 is charged. In the operation of the second period; the switch S1 and the switch S4 are brought into non-conductive states, the switch S3 is simultaneously brought into a conductive state, and the electric charge is distributed between the capacitor C1 and the capacitor C2.
