PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily correlate metadata with recording media so as to search recording media from many metadata. SOLUTION: When an ID is obtained by recognizing a recording medium and image data are recorded to the recording medium whose ID is acquired, metadata of the image data and the ID are related and managed. When a retrieval condition is inputted, an ID related to metadata meeting the input retrieval condition is retrieved and acquired and whether the ID which is acquired by the recognition and the ID which is acquired by the retrieval match each other is determined and reported to easily correlate the data recorded in recording media and the recording media with each other.
