PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless communication system for establishing communication by PCA in a reserved region after making reservation by a distributed reservation protocol (DRP) in order to stably make the prioritized channel access (PCA). SOLUTION: Communication is mutually established by forming a wireless network with a plurality of wireless communication devices in the wireless communication system. Each wireless communication device is provided with an access setting part (807) which defines a super frame period in a prescribed period of time, and performs reservation setting of a region for accessing the wireless network in the super frame. The access setting part selects either of a first reservation setting method (DRP) not conflicting with the reservation settings by other wireless communication devices, and a second reservation setting method (PCA) which may conflict with the reservation settings by the other wireless communication devices.
