PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting temperature compensation crystal oscillator the design of which is facilitated by decreasing a change in an oscillation frequency. SOLUTION: The surface mounting oscillator provided with: a package main body with an H structure having two or more data write terminals and two crystal inspection terminals at its side faces and each of mount electrodes at a tip face of four corners; an IC chip including IC terminals at the four corners fixed to a bottom face of one recessed part of the package main body and electrically connected to the mount electrodes, write IC terminals arranged between both the corners and connected to the data write terminals, and crystal IC terminals connected to the crystal inspection terminals; and a crystal chip hermetically sealed to the other recessed part of the package main body and connected to the crystal IC terminals, is configured such that the two data write terminals are provided to both side faces of the package main body in the long side direction, the two crystal inspection terminals are provided to both side faces in the short side direction, and a conduction path interconnecting the two crystal inspection terminals and the crystal IC terminals is formed shorter than a conduction guide path interconnecting the two data write terminals and the write IC terminals.
