PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article capable of satisfying the preferences of various types of users and reducing mental burdens such as a depressed feeling and the feeling of repulsion during use and exchange. SOLUTION: The absorbent article is provided with a surface sheet 2, a back surface sheet 3 and an absorbent 4 interposed between both sheets. The absorptive article 1 is provided with patterns and/or characters hidden by being covered with a hiding sheet 21 in a natural state before its use, and the patterns and/or characters are made recognizable from a using surface or a non-using surface in the expanded state of the absorbent article 1.
