PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a luminaire wiping device for cleaning a home luminaire with a shade, hardly to be a problem in design, at reduced cost. SOLUTION: The luminaire wiping device 1 has a maintenance part 4 for cleaning the shade 3 which is provided at an opened face of a luminaire body for storing a light source. The maintenance part 4 includes a feed-out member 6 for feeding out a wiping member 5 for wiping the shade 3, a take-up member for taking up the wiping member 5, and a rail 11 for guiding the maintenance part 4. The maintenance part 4 wipes the dust and dirt on the shade 3 by guiding the wiping member 5 by a guard 8 provided between the feed-out member 6 and the take-up member 7 and moving the wiping member 5 in contact with the shade 3.
